Personal data as mentioned in this statement is used by RISKONET ACADEMY only for the purpose for which you provided it. This ensures RISKONET ACADEMY complies with privacy legislation. This statement applies to personal data processed by RISKONET ACADEMY.

RISKONET ACADEMY processes personal data to provide services, improve service delivery, and communicate personally with you as the individual concerned. Personal data are data that can be directly or indirectly traced back to you.

Why do we use your personal data?

Personal data of customers or suppliers are processed by RISKONET ACADEMY for administrative purposes, relationship management, communication, and to fulfil the agreement made with you or for entering into such an agreement.

What is the legal basis for the processing of your personal data?

The processing is necessary to perform a contract and/or because of our legitimate interest.

How long do we retain your data?

Your data will be retained for up to two years after the termination of the agreement and thereafter only in the financial administration for a maximum of seven years (This period stems from the administrative obligation of Article 52 AWR) and for the purpose of defence for five years or as long as legally necessary.

Personal data of website visitors

Why do we use your personal data?

Personal data of website visitors are processed to contact you by phone or email if necessary to provide our services. Additionally, RISKONET ACADEMY analyses your behaviour on the website to improve it and tailor the offerings of products and services to your preferences. If so-called information profiles are maintained, they are used solely to better align the website with user needs, and you will be informed in advance. Information profiles track what users search for (search terms), which information they request, and how they navigate the site. These data are not linked to personal data, so they cannot be traced back to an individual.

What is the legal basis for the processing of your personal data?

RISKONET ACADEMY processes personal data based on a legitimate (commercial) interest, for the establishment and execution of an agreement, or because you have expressly granted permission to RISKONET ACADEMY.

How long do we retain your data?

Your data will be retained by RISKONET ACADEMY for the long term; however, this will never be longer than necessary for the execution of activities. It may occur that RISKONET ACADEMY is legally required to retain your data for a longer period. 

Personal data of newsletter subscribers

Why do we use your personal data?

Personal data of newsletter subscribers are processed to send the newsletter and to inform you about new developments and changes to our services and products. Your personal data will only be used for the purpose for which it was provided. This means that if you provide your name and address for receiving a newsletter, that information will not be used to send you other brochures (unless you have indicated otherwise). It also means that your data will not be used for other purposes, such as sending offers.

The processing is based on consent through an opt-in registration for the newsletter.

How long do we retain your data?

These data are retained indefinitely. However, you can unsubscribe at any time. This can be done via the link at the bottom of each newsletter.

Why do we use your personal data?

RISKONET ACADEMY processes your personal data for the purpose of providing information in the form of newsletters and/or targeted contacts, as well as for relationship management. Your data are also processed to represent our interests as an organization within the societal context.

What is the legal basis for the processing of your personal data?

The processing is justified based on our commercial interest, organizational interest, and based on (verbal) consent, including consent given through the exchange of business cards.

RISKONET ACADEMY retains your data for the long term; however, this will never be longer than necessary for the execution of activities, and you are regarded as a prospect, stakeholder/lobby contact, and/or interested party.

Personal data related to a recruitment process

Why do we use your personal data?

RISKONET ACADEMY uses your data solely for the recruitment process for the position you applied for. This information is used to assess your suitability for the role and to contact you and/or send you information.

What is the legal basis for the processing of your personal data?

The processing of your data is based on the execution of a (potential) agreement and/or a legitimate interest, namely the conduct of the relevant recruitment process.

How long do we retain your data?

When you apply to RISKONET ACADEMY, your data will be deleted no later than four weeks after the end of the recruitment process. If you have given consent to retain your data for a future position, your data will be deleted no later than one year after the conclusion of the recruitment process.

RISKONET ACADEMY uses your personal data to answer your questions and to provide technical support via phone or email.

Visitor registration for the office

Why do we use your personal data?

RISKONET ACADEMY uses your data to ensure the safety of our visitors and staff, the security of our premises and the recording of incidents.

What is the legal basis for the processing of your personal data?

Processing occurs based on legitimate interest to secure RISKONET ACADEMY’s premises and to record incidents.

How long do we retain your data?

RISKONET ACADEMY retains your data for no longer than six months. Camera footage is stored for no longer than four weeks. In the event of an incident, the footage will be retained until the incident is resolved. 

Disclosure to third parties

Your data will not be sold to third parties. RISKONET ACADEMY will only disclose your data as necessary for the services provided, in accordance with the aforementioned purposes. Additionally, RISKONET ACADEMY may provide personal data to a third party, such as a regulatory authority or another public authority, if there is a legal obligation to do so, or to other entities as justified for the prevention, detection, and follow-up of fraud and irregularities, including the collection of claims. To carry out our services, RISKONET ACADEMY engages other companies. We enter into data processing agreements with companies that process your data on behalf of RISKONET ACADEMY to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality for your information. RISKONET ACADEMY remains responsible for these processes. 

Social media

On the RISKONET ACADEMY website, there are buttons to promote or share web pages on third-party social media channels or websites such as Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, and Facebook. RISKONET ACADEMY does not monitor or take responsibility for the processing of your personal data by these parties. We recommend that you read the privacy statements of these entities. Additionally, RISKONET ACADEMY can be found on various social media channels like LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter. When you follow RISKONET ACADEMY through these channels, RISKONET ACADEMY may gain access to some of your public data. The basis for data processing via social media is the public interest in improving RISKONET ACADEMY’s services and social media activities. 

Data of children

RISKONET ACADEMY’s services are not aimed at children. Therefore, data of children under 18 years old will only be retained with explicit consent from a parent or guardian. 

Within the EU:

RISKONET ACADEMY does not provide personal data to parties located outside the European Union.

Retention period

RISKONET ACADEMY does not retain personal data longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was processed. We have a standard retention period of 2 years. This means we will delete data 2 years after the end of the agreement, transaction, or contact. If a different retention period applies, we will inform you of this. Exceptions include data we must keep longer due to legal obligations, such as for tax purposes, as well as processes for specific purposes like legal defence. 

Security

RISKONET ACADEMY implements an appropriate level of security, considering current technology, to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure, and unlawful changes. We ensure that your personal data is only accessible to employees who need it for their work. Additionally, RISKONET ACADEMY regularly has its security measures assessed by external experts. If you feel that your data is not adequately protected or suspect misuse, please contact us. The SSL certificate on our website guarantees a secure visit to the site.

  • Right to object: if you no longer want RISKONET ACADEMY to use your data, you have the right at any time to request RISKONET ACADEMY to stop this use.
  • Right to data portability: you have the right at any time to request an electronic copy of your personal data and have this data transferred to another party.
  • Exercising rights: we find it important to assist you well in exercising your rights. If you wish to invoke any of the above-mentioned rights, you can contact us. 

Complaints

If you believe that RISKONET ACADEMY is not handling your data appropriately, we ask you to contact us about this. If you are not satisfied with our response, you always have the right to file a complaint with the Data Protection Authority. 

Policy adjustment

RISKONET ACADEMY reserves the right to adjust these policies at any time in the interest of business activities and invites the visitor to periodically review this page to check for any changes.
